In the summer of 2020, graphic news reports of Australia’s horrific bushfires were beamed across the world. For those in the tourism industry, these images triggered a potential economic disaster as bookings were cancelled for the foreseeable future.
As locals went from fighting fires to fighting for their livelihoods, they had one request for the public: “please come back”. So, we launched an integrated campaign with one simple message - #BookThemOut.
The campaign took on a heartfelt life of its own as the entire country rallied together to book every fire-affected tourism operator completely out.
